PRP Therapy – BZ Pain

PRP Therapy

pain management

One of the most popular therapies that is getting a lot of attention from our clients is PRP therapy (Platelet Rich Plasma). Famous athletes like Tiger Woods have been using PRP therapy for faster healing with their injuries.

This therapy comes from the principle that plasma, a component in your blood, contains special factors that help reduce inflammation and possibly help repair tissues.

Dr. Zarrini has been providing pain management treatments to Beverly Hills and the surrounding areas for more than 16 years.

Before the treatment, you will undergo a consultation with our Dr. Zarrini to determine your goals and how PRP therapy can benefit you. If PRP is the chosen path we will draw a sample of your blood; the amount will depend on how it will be used. It will take around 15 minutes to separate plasma from the other blood components. Our medical experts will use ultrasound imaging to see the specific areas to be injected with PRP. Local anesthesia or topical numbing solution will be used before the injection.

PRP can also help in reducing joint inflammation and with a regeneration and healing process. The platelets in your blood contain growth factors, which in turn have a chance at helping tissues repair themselves by potentially creating new cells. PRP therapy may still be relatively new in the pain management and medication industry. However, many of our patients have experienced profound relief from their different medical conditions. With this, it is still not covered in most health insurance. Contact us for a consultation and learn how you may benefit from PRP therapy.

There is a multitude of applications of PRP treatment, and some of these include:

Acute injuries
Post-surgical repair of joints
Osteoarthritis
Rotator cuff tears and strains
Back and Neck injuries and pain
ACL and knee injuries
Chronic knee pain
Shoulder injuries
Muscle tears and strains
Golfers and tennis elbow
Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Tendonitis and ligament sprains
Achilles tendonitis

Quick and easy treatment!

The process can be completed in about 30 minutes, and you can continue with daily activities immediately afterward. We have not encountered any adverse effects with our PRP therapy since the plasma is taken from our client’s blood. You may experience slight irritation or pain in the injected site, but it will go away in a few days.
